DescriptionPerspectives on AI, Special Project AGI 2024, BaselThe annual AGI Special Project is a playground for me in a very childlike and naive sense — I always follow my very first inner impulse when I read the invitation. If I feel there is no resonance, then I don’t take part, then I don’t submit anything… From birth, I feel embedded in a tremendous, inconceivable ‘intelligence’. Although it has equipped me with an ‘operating system’ that does not allow me to penetrate, understand or see through this all-encompassing intelligence, I am able to marvel at it more and more deeply from day to day — at all these miracles of life itself, at the cruel ones as well as the enormously beautiful, the tender and the invisible miracles... My intuitively chosen source material consists of 1. The expression of 100 % ‘natural intelligence’, from two portraits — taken by the photographer Lisa Rastl in September 2002 for a series of postcards for the initiative ‘Perceptive Care’ 2. I fed these two analogue portraits into Adobe Firefly as binding templates for composition and style and 3. I used two sentences from the AGI briefing as prompts. Adobe Firefly seems to be extremely zeitgeist-oriented and relaxed with regard to gender assignments...
