DescriptionThe questions connected to this research process are being explored in this work: What is it that makes the body theatrical? What is the 'theatraler Körper'? Is it only the shee effect of the 'Guckkasten' that makes the body on stage so significant? Is it enough to put the body in specific time and space? Is the relationship between the phenomenal body and the dramatic text what makes the difference? Is it the representation of an illusionary character that makes it theatrical? Does the phenomenal body of an actor need to be objectified in order to gain theatricality? Or does theatricality only happens on the meta-level?
