«Schweizer Werbefiguren»

«Swiss Brand Mascots»

They advertise food, beverages, or department stores. Brand mascots promote recognition of the advertised brands and are popular with young and old. The feisty goblin Knorrli has been adorning Knorr soup and sauce packaging for around 70 years. He was conceived by the illustrator and graphic artist Hans Tomamichel, who had already created the Ulmer Knechtli farmhand for the beverage company Ulmer & Knecht and the twins Fip and Fop for the chocolate makers Kohler and Cailler. Other Swiss brand mascots that have attained cult status include the Pepita parrot by Herbert Leupin and the blue bird Globi by Robert Lips.
