«Climate-proof»
Even before climate change was on everyone’s lips, people were good at outfitting themselves for various temperatures and weather conditions. Parasols, straw hats, and mesh gloves protect against unwanted rays, while bathing suits are the only way to really feel unencumbered in the summer heat. On rainy days, a water-repellent coat or jacket and the appropriate footwear are indispensable, and even rising waters present no obstacle when wearing raised wooden clogs. While a handheld fan generates a breeze, collars can be turned up to protect against brisk winds, and in the icy winter cold, a wool coat and knitted hat are your best friends.
Incidentally, the various materials in the collection, such as textiles, straw, wood, and rubber, are stored in different climatic zones in the Toni-Areal for optimum conservation.
