Description“In 1962 Dino Gavina, a visionary industrialist, convinced Marcel Breuer to allow him to put his historical pieces from the 1920s back into production. It was in Gavina’s store in Milan—a true museum of Italian contemporary design—that I was spellbound by this sinuous wonder. A courteous woman smiled at me, and I asked if I could touch the fabric: ‘Of course,‘ she said, ‘we are not in a museum. You can also lie down.‘ “
