Le Poème Électronique (fragment)
The text is a fragment of a poem, artificially composed by ChatGTP, based on ’Le Poème Electronique’ of Corbusier’s architecture and Xenakis electronic music for the World Expo 1958 in Bruxelles. Researching some innovative movements of De Stijl and Futurists, for a collaborative audio/video project ‘De Steil’ with artist Ate von Hes, I stumbled on Corbusier’s achtitectual poetry. Asking ChatGTP what ‘inspired’ the poem and prose on this architectural project, it replied that it found it in a combination of all it’s known publications. For the project itself I did process the texts further in randomized order for synthezised speech processing. The image is an illustration appropriate for this concept.
We stand, awakened, in another world,
Changed by what we have seen and heard,
A poem, a symphony, a dream,
Born in the womb of electronic light.
In this space of steel and light,

An eternal dance of sound and vision,
