DescriptionThe shape of type is the smallest unit that expresses meaning in any design system. lts history and evolution span millennia while never changing the building blocks that compose it. Transcending technological and cultural revolutions type in its many forms has remained the fundamental visual element around which we understand each other and, therefore, culture as a whole. With the increasing numbers of Al softwares and their capabilieties it has become an accepted fact that they will be able to progressivly take over tasks now though of as purely human. This might in the future also happen to the type design discipline, but to be able to asses this risk/possibilty is important to understand how Al systems work now and how they might be applied in this context.Object numberBBE-2023-C09-001
