Description"Building on existing projects and ideas for new forms of housing, the BEE.LONGING concept aims to provide homes that are not only affordable, but can also be adapted to its residents' personal needs. At the same time, communal spaces on residential floors as well as on the ground floor enable tenants to form a community among themselves and with their neighbourhood. Focusing on people in education or training without a full income, the concept addresses a range of social issues observed during my research, such as a shortage of affordable housing, limited creative freedom in co-designing one's home, insufficient levels of hygiene and privacy in shared apartments, while also catering to the demands of proprietors, planners, building authorities and local clubs or institutions."
