«Alfred Willimann, ein weiterer Meister. Der Meister. Obwohl ich nie einen Fuss in seinen Unterricht gesetzt habe, zeigte er mir das Licht. Ohne Licht kein Schatten: Deshalb zeichnete er fünf Buchstaben mit Schattenwurf, die wegen des indirekten Lichts zum Rand hin zunehmend blasser werden. Vom indirekten Licht ist auch der Name von Giedions Glanzstück abgeleitet, das Sie daneben sehen.»

Without light there is no shadow, so he designed five shadowed letters, shaded toward the edge due to indirect lighting. Indirect light that gives the name to the masterpiece by Giedion you see to the side.»
