DescriptionThe author approaches in his thesis the "Sixty Etudes for Cor basse, Op. 6" from Georg Kopprasch and its use of the horn. First, he researches the horn's structural changes and the musical scene of the time of composition in the early 1830s by Kopprasch. In order to learn how the pedagogy was back then, he inspects and analyses Kopprasch's original manuscript and the later editions that followed. In addition, he examines the intended goal for individual etudes from a performer’s perspective.
