Description"[...]. We use the topic of speculative evolution s an experimental playground, to explore visual language and storytelling. Responding to the theme od evolution, our position as designers had to adapt as well. Instead of answering problems with defined solutions, or creating products on demand, we switch to understanding ourselves as visual researchers. Offering a spectrum of propositions and working with a speculative design approach, allows us to visually formulate an encounter with the field. Instead of precisely defining a solution, it seemed more adequate to build a space in which storytelling can exist as an experience and must not rely on written language. Experiments with visual codes and aesthetics were used as tools. Relying on the power of images, we aim to use the video as a message. This visual essay shall offer an insight in life evolving within alternate realities, as a refusal act towards the imminent future and world we live in."Object numberBBE-2021-C16-002
