Beschreibung"The Swiss Watch Industry currently sees sinking exports of watches. Certain external economic factors cannot be controlled, such as reduced growth in China. However, a success factor for business is Innovation. The thesis at hand aspires to foster Innovation in the Swiss Watch Industry by leveraging Design Thinking methods. The project has developed a Design Thinking Tool, a so-called Playbook, that supports the generaion of ideas in the Watch Industry.
A playful Card Concept lies at the heart of this Playbook. The input from Research is condensed on Reference Cards - then a resulting impulse is outlined on an Essence Card. Using those cards in combination with a Method Card, relating to Design Thinking, new ideas are generated in conversations that are outlined on Ideas Cards.
Two prototypes were developed in the course of the project, which led on the current Playbook.
[...].
Reflecting on the project, the next step would be to perfect the prototypes and establish a Version 1, which can be copied and eventually sent to Watch Companies to present and apply the concept in real business situations."
