Exhibitions of DQL

Cover design for an invited competition for Design Quarterly’s 50th anniversary cover. Was never printed as WW did not win. L = 50. Played with the letters DQL. White paint or cut paper interferes with the letters on black, layering pure colour xerox in red, green and black from different master artworks. 1 x printed result cut from final magazine. 1 x mechanical. Selection of layered coloured xerox letters: D x 43, Q x 41, L x 34. 2 x large Q. 2 x large DQL. Selection of black and white master artworks: 11 x medium, 3 x large.
