Description«This is a graphic masterpiece. The 1954 exhibition, titled “Growing forms through function” is illustrated by the physical development of frogs from spawn to tadpole and finally fully formed frog, while in parallel we see the development of the automobile from its cranky beginnings to the aerodynamic state-of-the-art form it had reached by the mid-fifties. The genius of this design is the way the text is arranged vertically to divide the natural and the man-made examples of formal development and aligned horizontally with the frog’s mouth and to provide a road for the final car. It’s both charming and highly rational.»
