«Textile art»

The department of textile art spans a wide range, from decorating textiles dating from the 1910s and 20s produced at the Zurich School of Applied Arts to key protagonists of Swiss textile art such as Moik Schiele, Françoise Grossen and Verena Sieber. The new Fiber Art trend that took hold in the 1960s is represented within our international collection by some 50 renowned examples of room-filling textile sculptures from Europe, the USA, Colombia and Japan.
