«Type and typography»
Among the main categories covered by the Graphics Collection are type design and typography. The holdings in these areas range from hand-painted initials to printed matter all the way to street signs and 3D typefaces. So-called Swiss typography has enjoyed world renown since the 1950s, represented here by the archives of Adrian Frutiger, Bruno Pfäffli, Wolfgang Weingart and Josef Müller-Brockmann, as well as works by Emil Ruder and others.
